15th January 2011 Windsurfing: Pevensey Bay Wind Direction: SSW-SW Wind Stength: 20-30mph Surf / Sea State: Waves and not choppy Air Temperature: 8-10 degs Sea Temperature: Ok Weather: Overcast and windy Max Speed: Distance Covered: Just what the doc ordered :-) Nice sea state, some decent waves for stunt ramps and backside riding Not a choppy mess between waves either Tide on the drop so rip not too bad Wasn't raining Wasn't too hungover after belated works Xmas do Blowing 20mph when got there, so opted for 5.3m Ego on the Freewave 95 Typically it filled in so after few runs opted to change down to 4.7m Ego Good choice, session just got better :-) Excellent fun sail if a bit knackering, mixture of colder weather and total lack of fitness. Time to pack up when win eased off a touch and tide turned, sadly just after being taken down on the way out and hitching a ride on the rip-veyor belt ending up about 6 beaches downwind :-( I wasn't the only one and given the overall fun content, i will let it off this time ;-) |
